The place: The basement of Hansen House in Jerusalem, the Leprosarium: 5 rooms in a row connected to each other by open doors.

Five oboe players, each standing in another room, play the six variations of Oboe solo by composer Benjamin Britten, according to 6 metamorphoses from Metamorphoses to Ovid. They each play the entire piece of about 12 minutes at the same time, without seeing each other and partially hearing the music of the rest of the oboists. A whistle signal is separating one variation from another.
